Romanticize Your Life: February

Year after year, January feels like the longest month of the year and this year was no different. February always feels like a breath of fresh air. It’s still winter but its a short and sweet month and I’m always thrilled when it arrives.

February is a month full of love thanks to Valentine’s Day. I know it gets a bad wrap and is often called a “Hallmark holiday” but I love any chance to celebrate (as should you if you’re trying to romanticize your life) and I especially love any reason to love on my people.

Beauty can be found in the middle of winter or in the midst of an ordinary day. We just have to be willing to pay attention.

Ways to romanticize your life in February:

  1. Make a playlist with all your favorite love songs. Don’t forget the oldies.

  2. Watch classic or feel-good, rom-com movies.

  3. Have a “treat yourself” night. Order food, watch movies, wear fun pajamas.

  4. Celebrate small, quirky holidays (like National Chocolate Day or Random Acts of Kindness Day).

  5. Send a handwritten card to a friend or loved one “just because”.

  6. Buy yourself fresh flowers.

  7. Write a list of things you love about yourself.

  8. Print photos for a photo album.

  9. Bake heart-shaped cookies.

  10. Make a special Valentine’s Day breakfast or dinner for yourself or loved ones.

  11. Host a Galentine’s night.

  12. Do something kind for someone else. A friend, a stranger, whoever but complete a random act of kindness.

This is an ongoing series where I’m sharing simple ways you can romanticize your life month by month. You can view other posts here.
